Shaundra B Daily ("Shani B.") is an associate professor of practice in Electrical and Computer Engineering & Computer Science at Duke University. She is also co-founder and creative director of DEEP Designs, LLC. Prior to joining Duke, she was an associate professor at the University of Florida in the Department of Computer & Information Science & Engineering. She also served as an associate professor and interim co-chair in the School of Computing at Clemson University. Her research involves the design, implementation, and evaluation of technologies, programs, and curriculum to promote justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in STEM fields. Dr. Daily earned a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University – Florida State University College of Engineering, and a S.M. and Ph.D. in media art and sciences at the MIT Media Lab.
dr. kristin stephens-martinez

Kristin Stephens-Martinez is an Assistant Professor of the Practice at Duke University in the Computer Science Department. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from UC Berkeley in 2017. Her research lies at the intersection of education and computer science, focusing on using data available in large classrooms. She created EECS Peers at Berkeley, a group dedicated to supporting fellow graduate students with grad school life. She's also served as co-leaders of women in computer science groups as a graduate and undergraduate student. At Duke, she focuses on introductory computer science courses and continues her research in computer science education, which has already involved eight undergraduate students. Throughout her time as an undergraduate and graduate student, she interned at Microsoft (2008), Google (2009 and 2010), EdX (2013), and Coursera (2014).

Arunima Sharma is currently an Associate Product Manager at Salesforce and a Social Entrepreneur as APM Club’s Founder. She has also been a published ML Researcher, TEDx speaker, and recipient of the Google Womentechmaker scholarship for her social impact leadership. She is also a 5x PM intern (and 10x intern including other internships) at companies ranging from early stage startups to Microsoft Azure Machine Learning. In her life as a woman in tech from a small city in India with limited resources to New York and Seattle, she has gathered a wealth of knowledge from her adversities that she believes can be “turned into” opportunities on how to “write your own PM story regardless of the odds'' which she would share in this event. She is passionate about solving problems at the intersections of computer science, social advocacy, and business intelligence. As founder of the APM Club, Arunima seeks to create a closely knit support network of Product Managers, with a growing community of ~500 Associate Product Managers, Product Leaders & accessible Product Mentors around the world.
